That was great man. Hmm, I guess I can't critique writing too well. I think you did a good job of taking your own experience, and filtering it to tell a story of people who are very different from you. If that makes any sense. I don't like the definiton description, I started reading it expecting it to be about a political revolution, but I guess that isn't really part of the story anyways.
